Getting Lost in Austria...

History documented...
Recently I have come across the work of Albert Khan and have been both moved and inspired. Not a photographer himself, but a financier in the early 1900s, who funded photographers to travel the globe documenting the diversity of human existence. His aim was to promote understanding and peace by documenting varying cultures.
The BBC have put together a documentary showcasing his works alongside an insightful commentary of the Balkan Wars 8 October 1912 – 18 July 1913.

Tweety's Ios Heart...
Recently a friend I met in Greece, lets call him 'Tweety', sent me a little parcel in the mail to do with what i like. It was a pebble in the shape of heart which he found on the Greek island of Ios during his summer of 2010. Found amongst the abundance of rocks on greek beaches, this was special because of its shape and the moment of discovery was shared with someone special he also found on the beaches of Ios.
